Earthlings

Os invito a ver el excelente documental Earthlings, escrito y dirigido por Shaun Monson y narrado por el actor Joaquin Phoenix. En mi caso, aparte del inevitable y profundo desprecio que despiertan las prácticas que muestra, mediante cámaras ocultas, ha supuesto el leve empujón que necesitaba para volver a dejar de comer carne. Agradezco la recomendación a mi amiga “twitteriana”, Lola Lozano (@Lolalochan), por venir en el momento idóneo para dar, de nuevo, este pequeño gran paso.

Aviso de que contiene imágenes extremadamente desagradables – aunque reales y verídicas -, pero insisto en la necesidad de su visionado, pues es importante ser conscientes del atroz sufrimiento que experimentan los animales, de forma masiva, antes de ver sus carnes inertes reposando sobre nuestros fríos platos, por nuestro caprichoso interés.

Notice that it contains extremely unpleasant images – although real and true -, but I insist on the necessity of viewing it, due to the importance of being aware of the terrible suffering experienced by animals, in bulk, before seeing their flesh lying inert on our cold dishes, for our whimsical interest.
